Fotografiska Berlin
Contemporary Museum of Photography, Art, and Culture
Oranienburger Str. 54
10117 Berlin
Germany
Fotografiska is everything but an ordinary museum. In a single ticket, Fotografiska combines iconic visionaries such as Andy Warhol and Cindy Sherman alongside boundary-pushing artists of today. Each exhibition is designed to inspire thought and conversation, with music and lighting to heighten the themes of the art. No need to whisper - bring a drink into the exhibition halls, speak freely and engage directly with the works. With new shows opening almost every month, you will encounter a mix of fresh perspectives.
Fotografiska is housed in a building with over 115 years of history, blending breakthrough architecture of the early 20th century with the rebellious fingerprint of a 1990s artist squat. This includes a graffiti hall now dedicated to emerging Berlin artists, protected as a cultural heritage landmark. Hear the full story of the house and the artworks on display in their 90-minute guided tours – including a late-night tour starting Mon-Fri at 8pm.
Alongside inspiring exhibitions, Fotografiska offers drinks, dining, events and a uniquely curated concept store. Grab a coffee and a snack at the Café Bar, or enjoy world-class cocktails in Bar Veronika and rooftop Bar Clara, inspired by the principles of photography. For an extra special experience, you can visit Restaurant Verōnika to indulge in inspiring conversations and international cuisine. At the end of your visit, you can always find special gifts, souvenirs and designs in the museum store. They offer unique designs and art pieces created by local brands and artists, as well as signature posters and merch.
