It’s the event of the year in Berlin – the party at the Brandenburg Gate is one of the world’s biggest open-air New Year's Eve events.
Welcome 2020 at the Brandenburger Gate in Berlin:
On New Year's Eve the famous countdown to midnight, the gigantic fireworks, the live bands and the DJs attract more than a hundred thousand guests from all over the world to the Brandenburg Gate.
The exuberant atmosphere in the party zone between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column runs through until the early hours of the morning. The festival is free of charge for all visitors and partygoers.

Opening hours and programme for the 2019/2020 new year's eve party at the Brandenburg Gate:
The gates open on Tuesday, 31 December 2019 at 2 pm. The musical artists perform their rehearsals in the afternoon. At 7 pm the stage programme begins with the event's various DJs and live bands. From 8.15 pm onwards, ZDF broadcasts the “Welcome 2020” programme live from the Brandenburg Gate, and the big party with DJ entertainment begins at half past midnight. The party zone closes at 3 am.
