The animal park to Berlin Friedrichsfelde, a 160-ha-park with big animal houses, marvellous outdoor enclosures and a select animal population with many rarities lies immediately with the underground station Tierpark,
line U 5.

In 1963 the Alfred-Brehm-Haus was opened which nowadays shows a comprehensive stock of big and small cats. Inside the house the tropical hall provide a home for a colourful tropical bird life from all continents. Palm trees, bamboo, coffee trees and bloomer water lilies in the summer months make the tropical feeling perfect. 

Beside the impressive rock inside the hall for lions and tigers, the enormous elephant house, the landscape cages as well as the giraffe house with a 7.400 sqm enclosure, the Tierpark Berlin-Friedrichsfelde is also known for its generous outside facilities. Large herds of Bactrian camels, dromedaries and llamas are to be found.  

Not valid for family tickets or group tickets, not for the reduced admission fee, and not from March 21 to 24, 2008 (subject to alteration of prices). Admission free for dogs (must be kept on a leash).
