Cinema history from Babelsberg and the world at the Filmmuseum Potsdam
The Filmmuseum Potsdam is located in a beautiful baroque building in the city's oldest building. Here you can experience film history from Babelsberg and around the world. The Marstall (the royal stables of the Prussian kings), built in 1685 as an orangery, was given its current look in the 18th century by Sanssouci's well known architect Knobelsdorff.
The attractive permanent exhibition as well as temporary exhibitions introduces visitors of the Marstall to the world of film. The cinema offers several screenings per day and with the Welte-Kino organ it invites the guests to stay. Furthermore the growing collections on the Babelsberg film history with Zarah Leander's and Frank Beyer's estates are a rich source for scholars and exhibition curators.
The offer can only be used with the ABC-version of the CityTourCard.
