German Technology Museum with Science Center Spectrum

An attractive adventure location for active visitors: the German Technology Museum
In an area of 25,000 m², you can experience old and new engineering: aircraft, locomotives, ships, computer, steam engines, printing presses, TV sets, windmills, among others.
Almost every department offers demonstrations and visitor's activities. The workings of a vast number of historical machines and models are shown and explained. Have you ever tried to print or make paper by yourself? You also can try to shred grain or accompany a suitcase production line at the German Technology Museum.
The Berlin Science Centre Spectrum is located in the restored portal sector of the former freight station building. There, 250 experiments motivate visitors to grasp technical principles in a playful environment. How does a battery work? Why is the sky blue? What is the principle behind a pulley block?
Find the answers to these and many other questions in the German Museum of Technology Berlin!
