Experience Berlin's history from an
unusual perspective. Since 1997 the Berliner Unterwelten e.V. has offered
regular organised tours of Berlin's
underground installations. Though, predominantly in the spaces below Berlin's Gesundbrunnen
station, tours are also offered in several other subterranean complexes usually
never accessible to the public. Regular tours are offered at the weekend and
Mondays, but with prior notification, tours can be arranged for groups at other
times. Welcome to Berlin’s
underground!
There are
several suggestions for guided tours, e.g.: “Dark worlds” (tour through
authentic historical spaces), “From the Flak Towers to the Mounts of Debris” (tour
inside the Anti Aircraft
Flak Tower
in Humboldthain park) or “Subways, Bunkers and the Cold War” (Berlin history from an unusual perspective).
The
language of the tour title is corresponding to the language of the tour! A minimum of 5 participants is required for a regular English Tour!
Due to the buildings conditions the tours are not handicapped accessible.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. We recommend taking warm clothes (e.g.
pullover) with you on any tour as even during summer month it is quite cold
below ground surface.
