Is there a discounted version of the CityTourCard?
There is no discounted version of the CityTourCard.
Do children each need their own CityTourCard?
Any number of children under 6 years can use public transport for free if they are under custody of a holder of any CityTourCard version. Only with the CityTourCard Berlin, up to 3 children aged 6 - 14 years may be taken along for free, in addition. Thus, the CityTourCard pays off not only when you visit the surroundings of Berlin, but also when you want to discover Berlin together with your children.
Does station XY lie in the tariff zone Berlin AB?
The tariff zone Berlin AB includes the entire urban area of Berlin. For example, both Berlin airports (Berlin-Tegel and Berlin-Tempelhof) are located in the tariff zone Berlin AB. To reach Berlin-Schoenefeld airport it is necessary to take the CityTourCard ABC as since 01.04.2008 Schoenefeld airport is assigned to the tariff Zone Berlin C. The tariff zone Berlin ABC includes the entire urban area of Berlin as well, plus the surroundings of Berlin and Potsdam.
Here you will find a comprehensive plan of the metro- and suburban railway-network of Berlin with the appropriate tariff zones. This way, you can find out easily whether the station that is relevant for you lies in the tariff zone Berlin AB or Berlin ABC.

You get the leaflet for free from all CityTourCard distributors. Also, if you buy the CityTourCard at a BVG or an S-Bahn ticket vending machine, you can collect the leaflet for free at all selling points mentioned above and from all distributors.

When starts the validity of the CityTourCard?
The moment of validation is crucial for the period of validity of the CityTourCard. The moment will be stamped on the CityTourCard, once you put it in a ticket validator.
