Where and how long is the Berlin CityTourCard valid?
Depending on the version you choose, you will be able to explore Berlin's city centre for 48 hours, 72 hours or 5 days by public transportation (metro, suburban railway, bus and tram).
For example:
If you validate the 72-hour ticket at 12am on 1 Jan. 20132, the ticket remains valid until 12am on 4 Jan. 2013.
Please note: the 5-day ticket remains valid until midnight on the 5th day of use.
You can also choose between fare zones: Berlin AB or Berlin ABC.
The fare zone Berlin AB includes the entire Berlin city (inclusive the airport Berlin Tegel). The fare zone Berlin ABC includes the Berlin city and its surroundings (inclusive Potsdam and the airport Schönefeld).
Can I use the Berlin CityTourCard to get to Potsdam.
Yes. The city of Potsdam is situated in fare zone Berlin ABC. So if you like to see Potsdam you need a Berlin CityTourCard for 48hours, 72hours or 5 days for the fare zone Berlin ABC.
Please note: the Berlin CityTourCard does not include Potsdam partnerns or rather give discounts in Potsdam.
Is there a discounted version of the CityTourCard?
There is no discounted version of the CityTourCard.
Do children each their own CityTourCard?
Children under 6 years travel for free.
Maximum 3 children between 6 and 14 years may travel with an adult who is owner of the Berlin CityTourCard, fare zone Berlin ABC.
Teenager from the age of 14 years up pay either the normal ticket price or need their own Berlin CityTourCard.
Does station XY lie in the tariff zone Berlin AB?
The tariff zone Berlin AB includes the entire urban area of Berlin. Even Tegel airport is situated in this fare zone.
The ABC fare zone includes the city area a well as Potsdam and Berlin's hinterland. Berlin Schönefeld is situated in the fare zone C.
Please note that you cannot extend the Berlin CityTourCard AB to cover zone C by buying a connection ticket!

Where can I buy the CityTourCard in Berlin?
You can buy the CityTourCard at the selling points, convenience stores (Reisemarkt), and ticket machines of the BVG and the S-Bahn Berlin.
Please note: Discounts can only be claimed when the (validated and valid) ticket and the folding map are presented. Both must be presented before the service is used!

Where do I get the information leaflet for the CityTourCard?
In the right column of this side you'll find a link where you may download the leaflet.
But you also get the leaflet for free at all selling points of the BVG (Berlin public transport service) or of the S-Bahn Berlin GmbH (Berlin city railway).
Please note: with the leaflet you get no discounts. It's only for your information. If you like to have all the advantages of the Berlin CityTourCard you have to buy a Berlin CityTourCard ticket. The CityTourCard consists of a public transport ticket and a guide with all information about our partners and their discounts.

When starts the validity of the CityTourCard?
The moment of validation is crucial for the period of validity of the CityTourCard. The moment will be stamped on the CityTourCard, once you put it in a ticket validator.
